Hakuba does powder differently. The snow is lighter, deeper and more consistent than almost anywhere else on earth. Based out of Nomad Lodge, a retro Showa-era inspired property one minute from the heart of Echoland, this is your base for however long you want it. Spacious rooms in Japanese or Western styles. A shared guest kitchen fully stocked for self-catering. Free-flow coffee in the lounge every morning. One of the best Japanese whisky bars in the valley right on site. After a day on the mountain the traditional wood-fired onsen bath is waiting. Your Hakuba Valley Ski Pass opens up ten resorts: Happo-one, Goryu, Cortina, Norikura and more. Return transfers from the airport to the lodge are included, as well as transfers between the lodge and restaurants and the mountain throughout your stay which you can organise on the ground. The ski shuttle stops are within walking distance for everything else. Beyond the mountain there are ARRIVAL-recommended onsens for the evenings when your legs have given everything they have. Hakuba village for dinner and drinks. Ski and snowboard rental and lessons available for those who want to progress. This trip is fully customisable. Number of nights, group size, room configuration, number of ski days, lesson scheduling, onsen bookings and restaurant reservations, all of it shaped around what your group actually wants. Fill in your preferences when you request a custom quote and we'll build the trip around you.

Powder Days Across Hakuba Valley

This is what you came for. Hakuba's powder is the real thing. Deep, dry and light in a way that changes what skiing actually feels like. With ten resorts across three valleys and free shuttles linking them all, no two days need to look the same. One morning you're carving groomed runs at Happo-One, the next you're chasing fresh snow through the trees at Cortina. Your ski pass gives you the freedom to follow the conditions wherever they go. This freedom is the whole point.

Exploring Hakuba Village (Encouraged)

Off the mountain, Hakuba's village has everything you need and nothing that feels unnecessary. Convenience stores stocked better than most supermarkets. Ramen spots with six seats and a chef who's been making the same broth for twenty years. Izakayas where you point at things and they're always good. A few bars that get livelier than they look from the outside. Wander without a plan and something good will find you.

Onsen Sessions (Encouraged)

After back-to-back powder days your legs will tell you it's time. The wood-fired onsen at Nomad Lodge is right on site, the easiest and most satisfying recovery option available. Hakuba also has several onsens across the valley within easy reach, some rustic, some resort-style, all of them worth the visit. Slide into water hot enough to revive your body for the next day, stare at the steam rising into the cold mountain air. One of the non-negotiable parts of any Japan ski week. ARRIVAL will point you toward the right ones before you arrive.
