Ten days of chasing snow ghosts across volcano ridgelines, soaking sore quads in ancient onsens and getting lost (and found) in ramen shops tucked under glowing lanterns. Hokkaido delivers not just some of the deepest snow on Earth – up to 17 metres a season – but a cultural reverence for nature, detail and delight.
